Steak Tacos
This recipe will hit right home since its Mexican. Just looking at the ingredients list will make your mouth water. We posted the Steaks recipe earlier. These Tacos are made with those steaks with a yummy sauce and fresh veggie salad on top. We hope you’ll give these a try.
And to make things easier, you can always buy already prepared tacos 🙂
Ingredients
For Preparing Steaks
- 500 gms Chicken Steaks
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
For Marination
- 3 Tablespoons Cumin Freshly Roasted and ground
- 6 Green Chillis Big
- 4 Cloves garlic
- 1/3 Cups Lemon Juice
- 1 Cup Fresh Coriander Chopped
- 1/4 Cup olive oil
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
For Tortillas
- 1.5 Cup Fine Aata (White Wheat Flour)
- 1 Cup All Purpose flour Maida
- 1 pinch Baking Soda
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoon Yogurt
For Salad
- 3 Tomatoes Without Seeds, Finely Chopped
- 2 Medium Onions Finely Chopped
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Coriander Finely Chopped
- 2 Cucumbers Seeds Removed and Finely Chopped
- 3 Large Green Chillies Finely Chopped
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 2 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
For Topping Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Cream
- 1 Medium Onion Very Finely Chopped
- 4 Green Chillies Very Finely Chopped
- 4 Tablespoon Cilantro Very Finely Chopped
- 3 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Brown Sugar

Instructions
- Soak the steak slices in water salt and baking soda for 1 - 2 hours

- Blend all the ingredients mentioned in the marination section

- Strain excess water of the steaks and mix the marination blend into the steak slices. Marinate this overnight

- Mix all the ingredients from the Topping Sauce section and refrigerate it

- Mix all the ingredients of salad

- Refrigerate this too

- Mix all the ingredients from the dough section and knead it with water. Make sure its firm. Set aside for 15 - 20 minutes
- Divide the dough into small balls according to the required size. Roll out each ball into a thin circle

- Cook each of them on both sides like chapatti


- When you want to make tacos preheat your oven to 200 degree C. Dampen the tortilla and set them on wire rack as shown in the image

- Bake them for 15 minutes so that they become firm and crisp
- Heat the grill or pan and oil it thoroughly. Cook the steaks on medium high heat

- During cooking apply olive oil on each side. Take them out once done

- Put each steak piece inside the prepared taco

- Top it with the prepared sauce

- Put on the salad

- Serve them right away 🙂
