Chicken Jalferezi
Ingredients
For Chicken Marination
- 750 gms Chicken Boneless (Cut in strips of your choice)
- 2.5 Tablespoons Tandoori Masala
- 1 Tablespoon Cumin Roasted and Ground
- 1 Tablespoon Corriander Roasted and Ground
- 3 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
- 2 Tablespoon All Purpose flour
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
For Gravy
- 1 kg Tomatoes
- 1 Teaspoon garlic Crushed
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger Crushed
- 1 Chicken Cube
- 1 Tablespoon Cumin Roasted and Ground
- 1 Tablespoon Corriander Roasted and Ground
- 1 Tablespoon Crushed Red Chillies
- 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 Teaspoon Chineese Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Red chillies
- 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
Vegetables
- 2 Capsicums Cut in Cubes
- 1 Large Onion Cut in Cubes
Toppings
- 1.5 Tablespoon Ginger Julian Cut
- 3 Tablespoon Fresh Coriander leaves
- 3 Green Chillies Cut length-wise
- Boiled Egg Whites only (Optional)

Instructions
- Boil water in a pan and add tomatoes to it. Boil for 3 - 4 minutes. You can also bake them in the oven for 10 minutes. This will enhance the flavors
- Strain the tomatoes. And peel them
- Blend them into a smooth puree
- Marinate the chicken in the ingredients mentioned in the respective section for half an hour
- Heat 1/4 cup oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken in it over medium high heat for 1 - 2 minutes
- Stir fry Capsicum and onions in the remaining oil in the same pan hardly for a minute
- In the remaining oil, fry the crushed garlic and ginger
- Add the tomato puree. Bring it to a simmer.
- Add all the spices from the gravy section. Cook it till it thickens. Adjust spices
- When gravy is thick enough, add fried chicken, vegetables and toppings.
- Cover the pan and cook it for 1 or 2 minutes over low heat so that the flavors merge
- Give it a final mix and serve
