Kooftay (Meat Balls)
Ingredients
For Meat Balls
- 1/2 Kg Chicken Minced
- 1 Onion Medium
- 1 teaspoon garlic Chopped
- 1 teaspoon Ginger Chopped
- 2 Green Chilies
- 2 Bread Toasts
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Red Chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Roasted and Ground
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder Roasted and Ground
For Gravy
- 2 Onions Medium
- 4 Tomatoes Chopped
- 1/2 Cup Yogurt
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Paste
- 1 teaspoon Ginger Paste
- 1 teaspoon Red Chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Roasted and Ground
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Roasted and Ground
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric (Haldi)
- 1 teaspoon Fenugreek (Sukhi Methi)
- 1 teaspoon Curry Leaves Chopped
- 1 Green Chili Crushed with 1 teaspoon cumin
- 2 Potatoes (Optional)
- Green Coriander For garrnishing
- Ginger Julian cut for garnishing
- Salt to taste

Instructions
For Meat Balls
- Chop all the ingredients mentioned in "For Meat Balls" in chopper
- Make Meat Balls out of the mixture
For Gravy
- Fry onions in oil and add tomatoes to it and cook a little
- Blend them well in blender with 1/2 cup of yogurt
- Cut the potatoes in square pieces and boil them
- Heat oil in a pan and fry meat balls and add ginger garlic paste
- Add the blended gravy to it and cook till gravy thickens
- Add boiled potatoes to it
- Add Sukhi methi, curry leaves, green chilies, cumin, coriander powder, turmeric/haldi and cook till mixture gives off the oil
- Add a little water to the gravy and let it cook for 5 - 10 minutes
- Add crush green chilies, jullian cut ginger and chopped dhania/cilantro and cool for 4 to 5 minutes
