Ginger Lemonade – Margarita
Yesterday, we taught you guys how to make Rooh Afza from scratch. Today we’re presenting two ways to use the base that was created using Gondh Kateera and sugar and turn it into two very refreshing summer drinks. Ginger Lemonade and Margarita. Hope you’ll try it. We’re sure that you absolutely love them 🙂 Plus there’s this major advantage of not having to squeeze lemons before every iftari when you have this already stored up
The basic syrup we cooked yesterday was divided into three portions. We used one portion to create Roh Afzah, today we’ll use the rest of the two portions to make Ginger Lemonade and Margarita.
The portion we’ll use to make Margarita was left as such and freezed/Refrigerated
- 1-1/2 - 2 Cup Lemon Juice
- 100 gms Ginger
- 1 Portion Prepared Syrup (Basic Syrup from Roh Afza Recipe)
- Pinch Yellow Food color
- few drops Lemon Essence
- 1 Glass Water
- 1 - 2 Tablespoons Ginger Lemonade Syrup
- 1 Pinch Black Salt
- 1 - 2 Tablespoon Prepared Syrup (Basic Syrup from Roh Afzah Recipe, Frozen or Refrigerated)
- 1 Glass Water
- 1 Tablespoon Mint Leaves Finely Chopped
- 2 - 3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- 1 Pinch Black Salt
- Peel and wash the ginger and slice them and blend it with lemon juice

- Then strain the lemon juice and add the strained juice to the syrup

- Cook till the syrup comes to boil. Add a pinch of yellow food color and few drops of lemon essence. You can adjust their quantities as desired.
- Cook a little and then allow the syrup to cool down. Freeze or refrigerate it.
- Scoop out frozen Ginger lemonade syrup

- Blend it with water, and pinch of black salt.

- Your Ginger lemonade is ready! 🙂

- Mix in all the ingredients mentioned in the Margarita section above.

- Blend them all thoroughly

- And voila! Your refreshing Margarita is ready 🙂
