Special Onion Nuts Pakoras
This is a very special one for Ramzan as the title suggests. A great combination of onions, nuts and just the right spices to give you that chat patta maza that you crave for Iftarri 🙂
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon Mint Leaves chopped
- 2 Tablespoon Fresh Corriander Leaves chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Curry Leaves chopped
- 3 Medium Onions Finely Sliced
- 4 - 5 Green Chillies Finely cut length-wise
- 1 - 1.5 Tablespoon Ginger Finely Chopped
- 2 - 3 Tablespoon Almonds boiled, peeled and chopped
- 2 - 3 Cashew Nuts
- 1 Tablespoon Crushed Red Chillies
- 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder Adjust Accordingly
- Salt to taste
- 1.5 Tablespoon Corriander Seeds Roasted and crushed coarsely
- 1 Tablespoon Cumin Seeds Roasted and Ground
- 1 Tablespoon Cumin Seeds Whole
- 1 Teaspoon Carom Seeds Ajwain
- 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 Cup Rice Flour
- 1 Cup Gram Flour (Basain)
- 3 Tablespoon Oil
- 1/4 Cup Water Approximately
- A few basil leaves Chopped

Instructions
- Mix gram flour, rice flour, and baking powder,

- Add in the oil and rub it into the mixture. You can add 1/4 teaspoon of thyme as well if you desire


- Get your ingredients ready

- Mix together onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, curry leaves, mint leaves and basil leaves. Add salt and let it sit for few minutes so that mixture gives away the moisture

- Add in flour mixture

- Add all spices and nuts

- Mix thoroughly, so that the mixture gets moist with the moisture of the ingredients. Add water little by little very carefully and mix thoroughly till the flour mixture starts sticking to the onions. Avoid adding too much water

- This is how it should look

- Heat the oil and fry small portions. Do not make compact balls. You want the portions to be flattened so that all the onions get fried and get the crunch.

- Fry till they are golden
