  1. Separate the egg whites and yolks.
  2. Beat egg whites until they are stiff
  3. Put butter, sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl. Butter should be softened
  4. Beat them till they are creamy
  5. Add egg yolks to this mixture and beat them
  6. Sieve together flour, baking powder and salt and add to the mixture
  7. Beat them till they are mixed well
  8. Add beaten egg whites to the mixture in two or three portions.
  9. Fold them into the mixture carefully
  10. Grease the mold and use greased butter paper so that its easier to take the cake out once baked
  11. Pour the mixture into the mold
  12. Garnish it with your desired topping
  13. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Bake for 40 - 45 minutes or till its fully baked and the stick comes out clean. (The time of baking depends on the temperature of your oven)
  14. Serve hot or cold 🙂
