Walnut Pie
Ingredients
For Pastry
- 1/2 Cup Butter or Ghee
- 1/4 Cup Sugar (Half/sandy ground)
- 1 Egg
- 2 Cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
- 1 pinch Salt

Instructions
- Heat Sugar in a pan on low heat till it melts and turns brown

- Remove from heat, add butter and cook again till its mixed

- Add cream and once cooked add walnuts, salt and vanilla essence. Allow it to cool down


- Meanwhile beat butter and sugar, add egg

- Knead in flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla essence


- Set your dough in pie dish working with your fingers


- Make holes in base with a fork
- Bake at 180 Degrees according to your oven specs for 15 minutes
- Take it out of the oven and punch with fork if any air accumulates in the base.
- Fill with Walnut filling and bake for another 10 minutes

- Your pie is ready
