Chin Chin
This recipe was requested by one of our African followers. We researched and tried its recipe and it was a delight. Such an easy snack. And so delicious! 🙂 We hope you’ll give it a try.
Ingredients
For Sweet Chin Chin
- 1 Cup All Purpose flour
- 1/4 Cup Butter (molten) 50 gms
- 1 Tablespoon Powdered Milk
- 1+1/4 Tablespoon Icing Sugar
- 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/8 Teaspoon Nutmeg Powder
- Some water For kneading
- Oil For Frying
For Salted Chin Chin
- 1 Cup All Purpose flour
- 1/4 Cup Butter (molten)
- 1 Clove Crushed Garlic
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Sugar
- 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- Some water For kneading
- Oil For Frying
Servings:
Instructions
- Mix all the dry ingredients
- Add in the butter and rub it between your fingers
- Add 1 - 2 Tablespoon luke warm water (or as desired) to knead it into a hard dough
- Knead it very well
- Divide the dough into two halves. Then roll out the dough
- Cut it into pieces of your choice
- Fry them in oil over high heat
- Once they are golden brown, take them out
- Your Chin Chin is ready! 🙂
