The Art of Making Fries
Just like people request us to share recipes for weight watchers, we’ve also have had several requests from people who want to gain weight. And what better way is there than having a bunch of these fast food like fries at home. All you’ll need is a little patience : )
This one is also for the moms who want to give their kids the fast food like fries but don’t want to compromise on the quality.
We assure you, you won’t go running to any fast food chain any time soon once you’ve tasted these. Nano’s son dint want this recipe to be shared because its just that good 😀
Ingredients
- 2 Potato Large
- 1 Tablespoon Chicken Powder or 1 Chicken cube
- 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Water

Instructions
- Cut the potato into large fries approximately with approximately 1/2" thickness

- Immerse them in cold water.
- Place them in refrigerator/ freezer for 20-25 minutes
- Heat half cup of water with 1/4 cup of sugar. Cook till the sugar is dissolved.

- Take out the fries from refrigerator. At this point, you either strain the potatoes and soak them in fresh water and pour the sugar mixture over the fries. Leave them for another 15-20 minutes. You can also add the sugar mixture without straining the water.

- Strain the fries and spread them on kitchen towel.
- Heat the oil and cook the fries in it over medium low heat for exactly Four minutes
- Take out the fries, spread them over a plate or tray. At this stage they will be very soft so handle them with care

- Sprinkle one tablespoon of Chicken powder with fries or crush one chicken cube and Sprinkle over fries. OR you can also use beef stock

- Toss the fries carefully so that the chicken powder/chicken cube is mixed

- Let them cool down,
- Heat the oil again and fry them again, this time over high flame for 3-4 minutes till it gets your desired color

- No seasoning is required. Have them with desired sauce 🙂

Did you remove the water potatoes were already dipped in before adding sugared water?
