Strawberry/Cherries Cobbler Pie
Ingredients
For Strawberry Base
- 3 Eggs
- 1 kg Strawberries Throughly washed (Or cherries without seeds)
- 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon Mix Spice Stick of cinnamon + 1 Clove + 1 small nutmeg
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
Cake Batter
- 1/2 Cup Butter
- 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
- 1-3/4 Cup All Purpose flour
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1+3/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Spice Mix
- 1/2 Cup Nuts Coarsely Ground
- 200 ml Cream (1 pack)
- 2 Tablespoon Vinegar

Instructions
- Grind the ingredients of Mix Spice as mentioned above
- Mix all the ingredients mentioned for Strawberry base in a cooking pan

- Cook over low heat first. When it gives off water raise the heat to medium and cook till the mixture is quite thick like a jam. Let it cool

- Mix cream and vinegar and set aside

- Mix flour, salt and baking powder
- Beat together butter and sugar and eggs and beat well

- Add flour mixture, nuts, spice mix and sour cream and beat well

- You can make the pie in a big pan and also you can make personal servings. Proportion of jam and cake mixture is up to you.
- Coat the base of ramekin or your pan with butter generously

- Pour in the prepared jam layer and then top it with the cake mixture

- Do the same with ramekin

- Bake at 180 degree C in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Please note that the baking time depends on the thickness of the cake batter you have used. Bake till the test stick comes out clean and dry.

- Serve hot with ice cream or as it is.
