Instructions
For Gram Flour Pancakes
  1. Prepare your vegetables
  2. Add all spices to gram flour and mix.
  3. Add enough water to make a batter. Make sure that the batter is thin enough to be easily spread on the pan but too thin.
  4. Add in the vegetables into the Gram Flour
  5. Add water/flour to adjust consistency
  6. Heat the pan or tawa. Add a spoonful of oil and wipe it with towel so that pan is greased. This is our alternative for an oil spray 🙂
  7. Once the pan is heated, take it off of the heat and spread some batter into a nice pancake
  8. With the help of your fingers, spread it around and fill in if there are any holes
  9. Put the pan back on the heat and cook on medium heat till the side is done
  10. Flip the side over
  11. Let the other side cook properly
  12. You may press it with a napkin during cooking to help it cook
  13. When its done, serve with Green Chuttney. The recipe for it has been linked above
For Cornmeal Pancakes
  1. For cornmeal pancakes, mix batter with spices
  2. Add water and egg white. Again, make sure the batter has the desired consistency
  3. Add in the vegetables
  4. Heat the pan, add 1 Tablespoon oil and wipe it off with towel
  5. Take the pan off of the heat. This time use a smaller amount of batter since cornmeal pancakes break easily.
  6. Again, wait till this side is cooked and then flip
  7. You can also use sesame seeds before flipping the side to give it a nice crunchy flavor
  8. Once the other side is cooked, your pancake is ready 🙂
Recipe Notes

Note: We suggest that you take a very small amount of prepared batter first and test it by cooking it. This will allow you to test the flavor as well as consistency. If you find any issue, you can adjust the spices and the consistency.
