Instructions
- Marinate the chicken pieces in the ingredients mentioned above for 1 hour
- Soak Tamarind and boil it, cool it and make sauce by straining it well
- Place sauce in a pan over heat and add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, salt, Chinese salt, cumin, coriander, and sugar. Cook it until it thickens and let it cool.
- Take yogurt in a bowl if there is any water in yogurt, strain it by hanging it in muslin cloth. Beat yogurt well. Add the tamarind sauce in it along with chili sauce and black pepper
- Originally Tawa Chicken is half barbecued but since a grill is an easier option, we opted for that. If you have plans for barbecue, you can make it by mildly barbecuing the chicken
- Heat 2 Tablespoons of oil in a pan or grill.
- Place chicken pieces on it on preferably high heat. Cook it for 1 minute, turn its side again and make cuts on this side so that uncooked parts are exposed to heat.
- Turn the side and make cuts on this side as well. Cook it for 1 minute
- You will need to further cook the chicken for 3 - 4 minutes.
- Now, in a pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil and fry the chicken on both sides for half a minute or so.
- Add Tawa sauce on it and garnish it with the ingredients mentioned above.
