Chicken Biryani

In about a month’s time, we’ll be welcoming the month of Ramazan. We’ve decided to focus on desi dishes prior to Ramazan because nothing can satisfy your hunger the way Desi food does.

Today we are posting the recipe for Homemade Chicken Biryani for all the Biryani lovers out there. Enjoy 🙂

Ingredients
For Boiling Rice
For Gravy
Spices
For Assembling
For Boneless Chicken

Instructions
  1. Soak rice in water for two hours before boiling them
  2. In a gauze piece tie all spices mentioned in "For Boiling" section except salt
  3. Take water in a pan, place the spice gauze in it and add salt and boil it
  4. When Water comes to boil, add the soaked rice. Boil them till they are tender
  5. Add 3-4 Tablespoon lemon juice and boil till the rice are almost done and strain them
Preparing boneless chicken incase of making biryani with boneless chicken
  1. In chicken add 1 Egg, 1 Tablespoon corn flour, 1/2 teaspoon Salt and 1 teaspoon Black pepper and mix well
  2. Fry them in oil over high heat for 2-3 minutes
For Preparing Gravy
  1. Fry finely sliced onions till golden, take them out in a blender and blend them with 1/2 Kg yogurt
  2. In the remaining oil, add ginger garlic paste and chicken with bones and add blended gravy in it and cook till the chicken is done
  3. Incase of using boneless chicken fry ginger garlic paste, add blended gravy to it and when gravy is about to dry add prepared boneless chicken that is mentioned in above section
  4. Add all the spices mentioned in "Spices" section in the end so that you can get maximum flavors. By overcooking the spices the flavors will be reduced.
  5. Cook a little, if you want to add readymade spices then add don't use the spices mentioned in "Spices" section
Assembling
  1. You can either assemble the biryani in a pan or in a dish
  2. Drizzle some oil in Pan or butter the dish
  3. Layer half of the rice in the pan or dish
  4. Pour half of the gravy over it
  5. Sprinkle some oil, lemon juice, coriander leaves, fried onions and mint leaves
  6. Spread rest of the rice over it and then rest of the gravy over the layer of rice
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves,mint leaves, lemon slices and fried onions. Pour some lemon juice and drizzle some oil. Add few drops of yellow color
  8. Place your pan over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes as rice are almost done OR if you have arranged it in a dish then at the time of serving place the dish in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. They will be warm and done.
